Murder Mystery Weekends
The historic setting of Tortworth Court provides the ideal setting for our Murder Mystery Weekend Breaks. The plots are written specifically for Tortworth Court and each weekend is different. Get caught up in the suspense as the scenario is played out by professional actors, then put your detective hat on and try to solve the murder. This weekend break includes half board accommodation for two nights.
Photography for Beginners
If you want to get the best from a digital camera, come along to our Digital Photography Weekend Break. Arrive at Tortworth Court on Friday night and after settling into your room, enjoy a welcome drink in Brunels Bar before dinner in Moretons Restaurant. After breakfast the following morning, meet our experienced professional photographer who will show you how to get the most from your camera. After lunch you will be able to put what you have learned into practise in the picturesque grounds of Tortworth Court. The afternoon will finish with a session on how to enhance your photography with Photoshop techniques. Dinner will also be in Moreton's Restaurant.
Falconry Weekends at Tortworth Court Hotel
Learn the age old art of falconry and experience these majestic creatures first hand under the tuition of a master handler at our Falconry Weekend. Arrive on Friday night and enjoy a welcome drink in Brunels Bar before dinner in Moreton's Restaurant. After breakfast the following morning, you will meet our Falconer, who will give a brief history of Falconry and discuss the equipment and husbandry required to keep birds of prey. After a picnic lunch, learn how to train and fly these amazing creatures. The day will end at around 5pm, but you will be very welcome to stay on and enjoy our 30 acres of grounds and the Arboretum. Dinner on Saturday will also be in Moreton's Restaurant.
Mushroom Foray Weekends at Tortworth Court Hotel
Our Mushroom Foray Weekends include an enthralling combination of fungi identification, uses, conservation, edibility, discussions with our resident expert. Arrive at Tortworth Court on Friday night and after settling into your room, take dinner at your leisure in Moretons Restaurant. After breakfast the following morning, meet our expert who will give an introduction and lead a 2 hour foray in the beautiful grounds. A picnic lunch will be provided as will afternoon tea. Dinner with our expert will be followed by a short slide show. After breakfast on Sunday, there will be another foray followed by lunch. The afternoon will be used to complete assessments before the weekend finishes and guests depart.
